Why does Zoom Player crash when used with my Terratec or Game Theater sound card?

There is a problem with the Terratec DirectShow driver that causes it to crash when trying to open a second file within Zoom Player.

The cause may be related to a buggy MP3 acceleration filter by the name of "cwcmp3.ax". By unregistering the filter (or erasing the file) the problem may be fixed. You can unregister this filter on the "Advanced Options / System /Filter Management" dialog, or by manually locating the file and typing "regsvr32.exe /u cwcmp3.ax".

A not so optimal solution is to instruct Zoom Player to use the WaveOut interface instead. You do this by selecting a custom audio device on the "Advanced Options / Playback / Audio" page.
