Hey there folks. I'm SmC, and I've chosen to write this guide due to the lack of information in this particular field
of Video Capture.
By the time you finish this guide, you should have a basic concept of how to get HDTV over the air, record it to
your computer (digitally), and re-encode it to any manageable video format.
Before we move on, I'd like to mention AVSForum.
This forum is by far the most useful tool when installing, or learning about HDTV. It's what I used exclusively
during my HDTV research into video conversion, and you should definitely take a look and read all posts relevant to
your subjects. They don't take to newbies very well, so don't bother posting unless you are positive your question
is valid.
Finally, I wanted to mention that I am not (and by no means consider myself) an expert on this subject.
I just found it to be a subject that lacks sufficient information on the web, so I figured anything is
better than nothing. Your mileage may vary.
