You Can Use AI to Generate Zoom Player Skins in Your Favorite Style

We have reached a point in time where AI can generate Zoom Player skins on demand. They're not 100% perfect, but they are getting pretty close.
The following styles (including the cover image above) were created using ChatGPT Codex with the Astra 6 model in extra-high reasoning and ChatGPT Images 2.5.
Astra had access to ".md" files containing Zoom Player's functions names+descriptions and Zoom Player's API to allow it to control Zoom Player and inspect its own work.
This is the first prompt I've used :
Zoom Player uses a scripting language to design home theater skins (themes). This is the official documentation:
https://www.inmatrix.com/zplayer/highlights/navskin.shtml
And here you can review Zoom Player's current default home theater skin:
c:\ProgramData\Zoom Player\Skin\Default\
Based on the documentation and sample, create a new Zoom Player Home Theater skin called "Astra 1" under the "c:\ProgramData\Zoom Player\Skin\Astra\" folder.
The default home theater skin uses 32bit BMP images which include an Alpha channel. If generating these files is a problem you can use the PNG format instead.
Use the image generation skill to create the script, icons overlays and any other required material to reach feature parity with the default home theater skin.
Once the initial script and images are ready, enable the new skin script in Zoom Player and then you can launch and review the result by opening the home theater interfaces and using WinAPI to capture Zoom Player's window and evaluate.
This initial prompt didn't include any style instructions, I wanted to see what it can come up with on it's own and I feel it's rather bland. The layout was not perfect either, some elements lacked perfect alignment, but this could easily be fixed in a follow-up prompt.
I wanted to see what Astra could come up with with more detailed instructions, leading me to attach 2 style guidance images and using this follow-up prompt:
Create 2 variants of this skin where the script is identical with just a name update, call them "Astra 2" and "Astra 3". Generate a new background image and icons for each. This process does not require you to run Zoom Player at all.
Icons specifications : General
1. Detailed with clean and clear outer edges (the first run generated icons that had blurry edges).
2. Don't accept the generated image as a good result without first reviewing the image and ensuring the image confirms to the icons specifications.
Icons Specification : Astra 2
- Gradient icon style, Using 3-5 base colors in each icon, smooth brightness based gradients within each of the colors. The first image I attached.
Icons Specification : Astra 3
- 3D icon style. The second image I attached.
Background specification : General
1. Compliments the icons style, don't generate the background before reviewing the icons style.
2. Provides good contrast for the icons.
And here are the results:
This is just the start, you can leverage this method to question an AI about Zoom Player's skinning engine capabilities, modify the layout, introduce an Aquatic theme or anything else that comes to mind.
I'd love to see what you'll come up with!
Stats:
On a $100/mo Pro x5 subscription, generating all 3 skins took approximately 20% of the weekly use-quota and took about 1h 32min to complete.
